Eastern Health Group is looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to keep our facilities in Norfolk clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff. You will work as part of a team, follow established cleaning procedures, and use PPE as needed to maintain high health standards.

The role emphasizes attentiveness, reliability, and a strong customer-service mindset to support a positive environment for patients, residents, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Past cleaning experience preferred.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and Aramark support staff.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.

Responsibilities

• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Maintains all assigned areas and corridors in a clean, sanitary manner per department policy.
• Inspects and applies cleaning techniques per orientation guidelines.
• Demonstrates efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions.
• May disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies.
• Uses universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials.
• Keeps cart stocked with equipment and supplies; ensures chemicals are labeled and equipment works.
• Promotes professional relationships and maintains conduct at all times.
• Assists in improving productivity and efficient department operations.
• Shows commitment to professional growth and training commitments.
