Job summary

Stoney Point HealthCare Center is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role covers public areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and administrative spaces, with an emphasis on hygiene and order.

You will follow safety protocols, operate cleaning equipment, and work either independently or with a team to meet facility standards. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus, and strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure manuals and schedules.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report any resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards.
