Job summary

Stantec seeks an Owner’s Representative at the Project Manager level to lead healthcare and higher education projects from concept through construction. You will coordinate with owners, design teams, and contractors, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Travel to client sites is expected to support onsite supervision and project delivery, with a focus on delivering quality outcomes that align with client objectives and institutional standards.

Qualifications

• Understanding of plans and specifications and ability to read them accurately.
• Knowledge of building MEP & FP systems and their integration.
• Familiar with preconstruction and project development processes.
• Experience negotiating contracts and language requirements.
• Ability to analyze and manage project budgets effectively.
• Strong skills in MS Office and scheduling software.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Lean Construction experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects including renovations, maintenance and new builds.
• Collect site information and organize resources for projects.
• Develop conceptual programs aligned with schedule and budget.
• Prepare and administer RFPs, recommend awards, negotiate contracts.
• Direct project team during design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
• Provide day-to-day oversight and coordinate with client and team.
• Review designs for schedule, budget, logistics and regulatory adherence.
• Handle complex institutional and multi-stakeholder requirements.
• Develop, track and update project forecast, schedule and budget.
• Administer all client contracts and invoices.
• Anticipate issues and guide decisive actions impacting project goals.
• Coordinate commissioning and financial closeout efforts.
• Maintain trust and confidence of the project team.
