Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Data Analyst (Healthcare Fraud) to support the DVA VHA in building a high-visibility Fraud Rapid Response Center. You will analyze federal healthcare data, develop fraud detection rules, and generate prioritized leads for government review using VA’s Palantir analytics platform.

Responsibilities include developing analytical rules, vendor and data pipeline integration, and creating dashboards for fraud trend reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, data science, statistics, or health informatics.
2–5 years of federal healthcare data analytics experience.
Experience developing analytical business rules for healthcare data and fraud detection.
Strong SQL and Python coding skills (or PySpark/R).
Working knowledge of healthcare claims data (CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, NPIs).
Ability to obtain VA PIV and pass a Tier 2/MBI background check.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and document analytical rules to identify healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse.
Support provider risk scoring, case prioritization, and fraud detection criteria.
Configure, code, deploy, and integrate data pipelines and analytics workflows in VA's Palantir platform.
Create a comprehensive Provider 360 view by combining claims, enrollment, and provider data.
Perform anomaly detection and network analysis to identify unusual billing patterns.
