Job summary

Winona Health is seeking a Food Service Worker in the Food & Nutrition Services department. This 0.75 FTE role supports preparation and distribution of nutritious meals for patients, residents, customers, and visitors.

The shift is first shift, 6:30am to 3:00pm, with every-other weekend and holiday rotation. The position emphasizes excellent customer service, teamwork, HACCP compliance, proper food handling, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to patients, residents, customers, and fellow caregivers.
• Anticipates the needs and wants of those we serve.
• Performs work duties within HACCP and MDH guidelines.
• Complete regulatory documentation as required.
• Stores food items at proper temperatures with labeling and dating information.
• Sanitizes work area at end of shift by completing sanitation checklist.
• Uses commercial dishwashing and other food service equipment.
• Reads and understands general clinical diet terms.
• Handles cash and uses the retail POS system.
• Prioritizes and organizes work to meet timelines.
• Completes mandatory educational requirements of Winona Health caregivers.
• Supports and integrates the organization’s vision/mission/values.
