Job summary

Baptist is seeking a hospital housekeeping professional to maintain patient and non-patient care areas in a safe, clean state. You will participate in quality and performance improvement activities and follow standard policies and procedures to support a healthy environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting areas, following infection control guidelines, and maintaining storage areas. Training is provided on hire, with a focus on complying with hospital and department policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will Train Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects areas by completing 7 step cleaning process.
• Practices infection control guidelines by adhering to universal precautions and practices safety precautions completing work assignments.
• Maintains equipment, storage rooms and environmental closets in orderly fashion.
• Performs all floor maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
• Follows Service First principles.
• Fulfills hospital required competencies.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policy and procedures.
• Completes assigned goals.
