Cantex is seeking a Floor Tech to maintain floors and support infection prevention standards in a healthcare or senior living environment. Responsibilities include floor maintenance, carpet care, and operating floor care equipment to keep facilities clean and safe.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to sanitation procedures, and collaboration with environmental services and housekeeping teams to uphold facility appearance and resident satisfaction.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with floor care equipment.
• Experience in floor maintenance, environmental services, housekeeping, custodial services, or facility cleaning.
• Knowledge of floor care chemicals, procedures, carpet care techniques, and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to follow infection prevention, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Aufgaben

• Strip, wax, buff, burnish, polish, and maintain hard surface flooring.
• Maintain carpets, tile, vinyl, and other floor surfaces.
• Operate floor care equipment safely (buffers, burnishers, extractors, scrubbers).
• Follow infection control and sanitation procedures in healthcare environments.
• Perform routine floor inspections and identify maintenance or restoration needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and resident areas.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines for floor care products and equipment.
• Maintain floor maintenance schedules and support appearance standards.
• Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to supervision.
• Support environmental services, housekeeping, and facility cleanliness initiatives as needed.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
