Job summary

Forefront is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe, and appearance of facility floors in a healthcare setting. You will perform daily floor care, stripping, waxing, buffing, and assist housekeeping and EVS operations.

The role is hourly, non-exempt with extended hours as needed. High school diploma preferred; prior floor care or environmental services experience is a plus. Competitive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Prior experience in floor care or environmental services preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily floor care, including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing as assigned.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow infection prevention, safety protocols, and organizational policies.
• Report equipment maintenance needs, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the Supervisor.
• Document completed work according to departmental checklists and quality standards.
• Assist other EVS staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
