Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Fire Protection Program Manager to lead enterprise fire protection programs for IL/WI markets. The role focuses on code compliance, surveys, and collaboration with BIM and facilities teams to ensure safety across healthcare facilities.

The position requires extensive healthcare fire protection experience, PE license, and CHFM or equivalent certification within 1 year of hire; travel is possible, with 1st shift duties in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering preferably from an ABET accredited program, or equivalent ABET degree.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection Engineering.
• CHFM or related certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and monitors enterprise-wide fire protection programs.
• Consults on local, state, and federal fire and life safety codes.
• Performs surveys and prepares technical reports on facilities.
• Collaborates with BIM to update life safety drawings.
• Develops fire safety strategies for healthcare environments.
• Reviews CMS equivalencies and waivers for compliance.
