Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide analytical support to the Chief Administrative Officer, CFO, Department Chair, and clinical administration unit. You will monitor clinical and payroll activity for about 250 clinical faculty, covering roughly $94 million in professional revenue and ensuring accurate reporting to leadership.

The role requires strong finance knowledge, spreadsheet/database skills, and the ability to present information clearly.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
• Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize and perform basic financial analysis assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to present information clearly in writing and verbally.
• Experience using spreadsheet and database software for financial analysis and reports.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• Interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and analytical support to executive leadership and department administration.
• Monitor and reconcile clinical and payroll activity for 250 clinical faculty with ~ $94 million in professional revenue.
• Identify discrepancies, analyze variances, and provide accurate reporting to leadership.
