Job summary

The company is seeking an intern for a healthcare finance-focused role in New York. You will perform accounting and budgeting tasks to optimize hospital operations, work with the budget team, analyze GL accounts, track expenses, and support data projects.

You will present findings to Senior Leadership and mentors after an 8-week internship, and participate in hospital tours and networking events. Eligible rising senior undergraduates graduating in 2028, pursuing finance or healthcare management,

Qualifications

• Current or rising senior undergraduate student graduating in 2028.
• Enrolled in a bachelor's program.
• Pursuing a degree in finance, healthcare management, or related field.
• Completion of finance or accounting courses.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and budgeting functions to maximize hospital efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work with the budget department team to learn operating budget processes and methodologies.
• Analyze general ledger accounts, track expenses, review labor reports, and conduct reconciliation activities.
• Participate in special data-oriented projects.
• Present project results to Senior Leadership, Project Hosts, and Mentors at the end of the 8-week internship.
• Engage in hospital tours and volunteer opportunities to understand organizational activities.
• Attend sessions with Senior Leadership and participate in networking and team-building events.
