Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Finance Director for Stanyan Hospital to lead strategic revenue growth and governance across the Community Network. You will provide operational analytics, drive budgeting and reporting, and guide investment decisions in collaboration with senior leadership.

The role requires financial leadership in an academic medical center, strong collaboration with operations, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
  • 7+ years experience in finance, budgeting or public accounting with hospital focus.
  • Understanding finance in an academic medical center environment.
  • Strong leadership, relationship building and negotiation skills across management levels.
  • Excellent communication skills in technical and plain language.
  • Ability to work independently with analytical judgment.
  • Experience mentoring staff and leading teams.
  • Proven ability to influence in sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver business line budgets and govern direct cost centers for the Community Network.
  • Develop, modify and enhance reporting, ad-hoc queries and dashboards for budgeting and planning.
  • Coordinate, prioritize and review business line capital projects.
  • Interpret service line reports to inform operations and strategy and present board materials.
  • Provide governance for costing and set annual project priorities.
  • Lead investments governance and strategic financial initiatives.
