Job summary

Valora Medical Group is seeking a Controller to oversee the Finance Department and partner with C‑level leadership to support the business and growth. The role requires managing payroll, payables, and financial reporting in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA, a finance/Accounting degree, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience in managed care finance. This role will require adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
• CPA certification highly preferred
• Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency with QuickBooks experience
• Healthcare finance experience preferred, especially managed care

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs general ledger accounting including payroll, accounts payable, billing, and service fees
• Ensure all AP invoices, expense reports, and corporate credit card payments are accurate and paid
• Manage bi-weekly payroll and potential off-cycle payrolls as needed
• Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting and preparation of financial reports
• Provide timely analysis of budgets, financial reports and trends to executives
• Ensure internal controls, GAAP compliance and regulatory filings
• Support C-Levels in short-term and long-term financial planning
• Lead process improvements to optimize resources and increase revenues
• Prepare forecasting reports and coordinate audits with department leaders
• Maintain confidentiality of all client, staff and company information
