Location: Aurora, CO (Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center)
Schedule: Full-Time, On-site with limited remote flexibility

Position Overview

The Healthcare Facility Policy & Compliance Engineer will provide direct support to the Facilities Management Service (FMS) at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. The engineer will support the analysis, creation, and management of facility policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance programs to ensure adherence to VA, Joint Commission, and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, and draft facility policies and SOPs.
  • Conduct research and ensure alignment with VA, VHA, OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and TJC requirements.
  • Support compliance activities such as lockout/tagout, refrigerant management, water line flushing, and utility plant operations.
  • Assist in The Joint Commission Life Safety and Environment of Care evaluations.
  • Coordinate with facilities staff, healthcare personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance programs are sustainable and effective.
