Job summary

Woodlands of Liberty Assisted Living in Wadsworth, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facility safe, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety standards. You will perform general facility upkeep across plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• 1 year experience in commercial maintenance or related trade
• Basic computer skills (e-mail, ordering, work orders)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies within 20 minutes

Responsibilities

• Complete general facility maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, minor repairs, and electrical work.
• Ensure preventative maintenance is routinely performed on all equipment/systems.
• Ensure work orders are properly prioritized and completed in a timely manner.
• Assist with regular inspections of the facility and equipment to identify issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime.
• Maintain compliance with Department of Health and Life Safety Code and other regulations.
• Respond to facility fire and disaster situations per emergency plans.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
• Other duties necessary to ensure safe operation of the healthcare center.
