Job summary

Southampton Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time role from 8am to 4:30pm in Richmond, VA. The position offers $23 an hour (all inclusive) and requires maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and supporting safety and comfort for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include general maintenance across painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plus documenting work orders and prioritizing resident safety.

Qualifications

• Three years of general maintenance experience required.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building systems for safe operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Maintain knowledge of building equipment and codes.
• Document work orders and updates using basic computer systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests with resident safety in mind.
• Ensure all work follows safety procedures and facility policies.
