Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, UT is seeking a Maintenance Worker III – General to support the Facilities Management team at Intermountain Medical Center. The role handles routine to complex maintenance, including plumbing, doors, windows, and hospital equipment, with a focus on safety and infection control.

The candidate will work Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm, some nights/weekends, with no on-call; 40 hours weekly, benefits eligible.

Qualifications

Extensive experience as a maintenance generalist or handyman.
Demonstrated abilities of the skills listed above.
A valid drivers license may be required for this position.
Willingness to work hard and to learn.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform routine to complex maintenance tasks (bulbs, fixtures, walls, floors).
Replace plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, doors, and windows.
Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital equipment and systems.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and ensure infection control and patient privacy.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Lead or assist teams to complete complex tasks.
Document work and report issues for follow-up.
