Job summary

Oakwood Care Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our facility's maintenance operations, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will oversee daily maintenance, coordinate preventive strategies, and manage a team to meet high healthcare standards.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, prioritization, and collaboration with leadership to address ongoing maintenance needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a commercial setting.
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures.
• Experience with preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility’s maintenance department.
• Perform and coordinate routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Maintain the building, grounds, equipment, and systems in safe and operational condition.
• Identify maintenance concerns and ensure repairs are addressed promptly.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and provide direction to maintenance team members.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and required documentation.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as necessary.
• Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and departmental needs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with facility leadership and department managers to address maintenance needs.
• Assist with inspections, surveys, life-safety requirements, and emergency preparedness.
• Respond to urgent maintenance and facility-related concerns as needed.
