Job summary

The Heritage Oaks Patient Enrichment Center, also known as the HOPE Center, in Sacramento seeks a full-time Housekeeper to maintain a safe, clean environment in a state-of-the-art 16-bed psychiatric facility.

You will perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, offices and public areas, assist with maintenance tasks, and respond to emergencies as needed, all while adhering to OSHA and JCAHO standards. CPR certification is required, and flexible hours may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required. On-the-job training provided.
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in janitorial, light maintenance and security/safety duties, preferably in a health care facility.
• Must have CPR Certification.
• Handle with Care training within 30 days of employment and prior to participating in a code green.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks of patients’ rooms, offices and public areas as assigned by supervisor: Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep and take out trash.
• Assist Plant Operations Director and Housekeeping Supervisor as needed.
• May clean biohazards or other bodily fluids when required.
• Report situations affecting the health and well-being of patients or employees.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks for the facility as directed by supervisor.
