Job summary

Las Cruces Recovery Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary client care environment. You will perform daily cleaning, laundry, waste disposal, and preparation of rooms for meetings, while following infection control standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior housekeeping experience is preferred, and basic English communication.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, speaking skills and understand English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions required.
• CPR and de-escalation certification may be required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning of the facility including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and bathroom cleaning.
• Cleans facility rooms, baths, laboratories, offices and halls.
• Operates cleaning equipment and transports laundry.
• Disinfects rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies following proper procedures.
• Prepares rooms for meetings and arranges decorations and furniture for facility functions.
