Job summary

Serenity Mesa Recovery Center in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Janitorial to maintain cleanliness across our residential facility. The role involves cleaning duties throughout the building and supporting a safe, sanitary environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wash, dust, polish, vacuum and sweep assigned areas.

• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas.

Job description

Serenity Mesa Recovery Center is a recovery center located in Albuquerque, NM, under the ownership and direction of Healing Addiction in our Community (HAC), a New Mexico non‑profit corporation. Residents (age 14-21) enter this program after completing a residential treatment program for the purpose of ongoing therapy, support, education, and transitional services.

Key responsibilities Include:

• Wash, Dust, polish, Vacuum and sweep all areas of the building assigned.
• Clean sinks, tubs, showers, counter tops and toilets according to sanitary standards
• Clean and Sanitize Kitchen areas.
• Sweeping/Vacuuming polishing and mopping floors
• Use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops and other cleaning tools
• Emptying trash receptable and disposing of waste
• All cleaning supplies and tools will be provided.

Essential Requirements (Education, Licensing, Experience)

• Ability to pass a CYFD Fingerprint check
• Ability to pass drug screening and all background checks.

Essential Physical Abilities

• Have full range of body motion.
• Have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a vacuum
• Have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports; specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 10 pounds (This weight requirement may be adjusted based on something that the person would normally be expected to do)

The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled residential facility.
