Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an entry level cleaner to join the facilities team in a hospital setting. Under supervision, you will perform daily cleaning of assigned areas according to a structured schedule to ensure a hygienic environment for patients and staff.

You will follow a 7-step cleaning process, handle emergency cleaning requests promptly, and stock supplies as needed. No minimum education is required and on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas of the facility using the 7-step cleaning procedure.
• Work schedules are expected to be completed thoroughly by the end of each shift.
• Uses the proper cleaning chemical for the specific task and never mixes chemicals.
• Responds to emergency cleaning requests within five minutes of instruction.
• Moves furniture, relocates beds, and stocks supplies as requested by supervisor.
• Is aware of Right to Know information and proper fire safety response.
• Completes all tasks requested by supervisor in a timely manner and with a positive attitude.
