Job Summary:

Are you interested in helping healthcare organizations thrive through innovative thinking and problem solving?As a Consultant I in Wipfli’s Healthcare Consulting Practice, you will gain exposure to a broad variety of engagements including but not limited to strategic and financial planning, facility and market planning, operations assessments, and service line assessments with a range of healthcare providers including health systems, hospitals, and clinics across the United States.

Under the direction of a Senior Consultant/Manager, the primary role of the Consultant I is to support others in delivering services that are either consultative or technical in nature. They will be closely mentored by a more senior level consultant or Manager and be provided self-directed work as they earn confidence and demonstrate predictable and reliable outcomes, in accordance with firm policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

More specifically, consultants get involved with our clients in the following project experiences:

  • Collecting, analyzing, and trending data with guidance from others using industry-based methodologies (data sources include demographic, market, and financial data) to inform client recommendations
  • Utilizing Excel-based models to understand clients’ market share, competitive, strategic, and financial position under varying assumptions
  • Assist in providing quality control and due diligence in evaluating data models and key deliverables
  • Create reports that summarize analysis findings and recommendations for presentation to key stakeholders, including the C-Suite
  • Assist in client engagement management functions, ranging from coordination of project logistics to co-presenting key findings to client stakeholders
  • Travel and participate in client on-site tours, interviews, data gathering, and presentations as required
  • Learn service offerings of the firm to recognize cross-selling opportunities as career progresses.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Healthcare, Biology, Mathematics, Statistics or other STEM-related field preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare consulting or related field preferred
  • Passion for the healthcare industry, particularly rural healthcare
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize own work effectively
  • Able to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems and/or challenging projects
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong quantitative/data analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel between 20-50%

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $47,000 to $78,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
