Job summary

Regency House, part of National Health Care Associates, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead building and grounds maintenance, ensuring safety and a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will oversee critical systems, supervise a maintenance team, and manage budgets for high-quality, compliant operations.

You will guide Emergency Preparedness, plan electrical upgrades, and enforce safety codes while delivering cost-effective services.

Qualifications

• Trade school graduate and/or licensed journeyman mechanic preferred.
• 5+ years of plant engineering or skilled trades experience.
• Strong track record of safety, regulatory compliance, and ethical maintenance practices.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Clear, confident communication skills and proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Availability to respond to emergencies outside regular working hours.
• Expertise in cost estimation, blueprint reading, and writing technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all mechanical and structural aspects of the physical plant, inside and out.
• Maintain critical systems, including plumbing, boilers, burners, heating, and hot water.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, sanitary, health, and fire codes (NFPA 101).
• Recruit, coach, and inspire a skilled maintenance team; may oversee housekeeping/laundry.
• Set and manage staff, contractor, and service-provider schedules for timely, high-quality work.
• Inspect buildings and grounds for proper repair and safety.
• Lead creation, upkeep, and execution of Emergency Preparedness Plan.
• Plan and oversee electrical system upgrades and equipment installations.
• Manage departmental budgets from supply ordering to invoice approvals.

Education

Trade school graduate or licensed journeyman mechanic
