Qualifications

• In accordance with federal regulations, possession of a valid Real ID is a requirement for this position.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in general engineering, design, construction, or facilities project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (required).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare facility design and construction, including familiarity with Patient-Centered Care environments.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, fire/life safety codes, and barrier-free (ADA) requirements; Healthcare facility systems (MEP), components, and infrastructure; Safety standards, ergonomics, and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead project development and planning activities, including requirements definition and site reconnaissance.
• Prepare designs, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Apply engineering/architectural principles to solve complex problems.
• Review and direct improvements to plans, specifications, and design analyses.
• Manage and oversee construction and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate with contractors to resolve field issues and design conflicts.
• Develop in-house designs and construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and supporting technical documentation compliant with applicable codes and standards.
