Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assembles pipe sections, tubing and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
  • Utilizes various types of sewer pipe cleaning machines.
  • Fills pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks.
  • Isolates utility services for new connections for repairs, renovations, and new construction.
  • Submits detailed reports describing the scope of work performed, material used, and time spent to accomplish the job.
  • Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies; complies with workplace safety and environmental practices.
