Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the hospital facility department, including plant engineering, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and grounds. The role includes staffing, budget awareness, and coordinating campus construction to minimize impact on patient care.

You will provide 24/7 on-call coverage when required and drive safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations across trades.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in facilities maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to supervise day-to-day operations of a hospital facility department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the hospital facility department and coordinate work orders and maintenance.
• Prepare staffing schedules, approve time-off, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Coordinate campus construction and utility shutdowns with minimal patient care disruption.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations.
