Job summary

Ocean Health Initiatives is seeking a Maintenance professional in Lakewood, NJ to perform routine and preventive maintenance across multiple health center locations, including fleet vehicles and mobile units.

The role reports to the VP of Facilities and requires inspecting systems, performing repairs, and coordinating with contractors. A High School Diploma and 1–2 years of healthcare maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspects building systems at all OHI sites including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire safety equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, and cleaning.
• Regularly inspect all OHI building exteriors, grounds and equipment for repairs, hazards and safety concerns.
• Performs minor repairs at all OHI sites within their skillset including painting, drywall repair, basic electrical work, and minor plumbing repairs.
• Maintains an inventory of maintenance supplies and places orders for necessary parts and materials.
• Responds promptly to urgent maintenance issues such as water leaks, power outages, and security concerns.
• Coordinates with outside contractors for complex repairs under VP Facilities supervision.
• Operates hand and power tools safely with PPE.
• Inspects OHI vehicles for maintenance and safety; maintains service records.
• Ensures preventive maintenance on vehicles (oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, etc.).
• Follows safety regulations and PPE usage.
• Moves office furniture and hangs artwork/certifications as needed.
• Assists with relocation of files and supplies across sites.
• Picks up and delivers necessary supplies as needed.
• Monitors and documents maintenance tickets in Monday.com.
