Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to join the Ft. Thomas maintenance team. The role focuses on keeping the facilities safe, clean, and well-maintained, with daily hands-on tasks across plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.

The position is full-time (40 hours) with day shifts, requiring reliability, teamwork, and a customer-service mindset as you support patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to understand and follow directions both verbal and written.
• Must have a valid driver''s license.
• Experience with lawn/landscape maintenance, building maintenance, construction or military service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on grounds and facilities.
• Assist trades with plumbing, electrical and mechanical tasks.
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders accurately and on time.
• Read and interpret drawings and manuals to troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of entrances, walkways and exterior areas.
