Job summary

Hunterdon Health is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs at satellite locations in Flemington, NJ, coordinating with Facilities Management and vendors to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, assisting with moves, inspections, and accurate documentation; strong communication with site staff and supervisors is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in all construction trades.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery License and/or certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs at off-site locations for building exterior, interior, windows, doors, hardware, lighting, electrical, plumbing, water softeners, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Assist with office or equipment moves and respond to emergencies including power failures and snow removal.
• Conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and test battery egress lighting with timely documentation.
• Communicate with staff at work locations to determine needs and ensure proper completion; escalate major problems to supervisors.
• Maintain hospital vehicle and inventory of supplies and parts; perform servicing as needed.
• Create and process work orders, complete paperwork and submit on time.
• Assist coworkers with departmental projects beyond normal duties.
