Job summary

Healthcare Facility in the Greater Seattle Area seeks an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee daily maintenance and physical plant operations. You will ensure HVAC, plumbing, electrical and safety systems are reliable while leading maintenance staff and coordinating with leadership.

You will drive preventative maintenance programs, manage vendors and budgets, respond to emergencies, and maintain compliance and documentation, contributing to a safe, comfortable environment for residents,

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or facilities management experience required.
• Healthcare experience (skilled nursing, senior living, or long-term care) strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and life-safety requirements.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to urgent maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance and physical plant operations.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and routine repairs.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine building and safety inspections.
• Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors.
• Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and departmental expenses.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain required maintenance, inspection, and compliance documentation.
• Supervise and provide direction to maintenance staff.
• Work collaboratively with facility leadership to identify and address building and equipment needs.
