Job summary

Atlas Healthcare, LLC seeks a maintenance leader to plan, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department within a nursing home facility. You will coordinate with dietary, nursing, and activities teams to ensure safe, reliable building operations and preventive maintenance.

The role requires knowledge of boilers, electrical, plumbing systems, and building codes, with licensing and an eye for safety. HVAC certification is preferred; on‑site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years minimum experience in a maintenance position.
• Nursing home experience required.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and related mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist the maintenance staff in developing and using departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., annually for revisions and recommendations to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with related departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required concerning operations of the Maintenance Department.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
