Healthy Connections in Arkansas seeks a Custodian/Maintenance staff to maintain a clean, safe clinic environment across our facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning exam rooms, kitchens and offices, along with lawn maintenance when required.

The role supports infection control and regulatory compliance in a patient-centered setting. Under the Practice Manager, you will follow schedules, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with general building upkeep to ensure uninterrupted patient

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems a plus.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA).
• Performs tasks requiring independent knowledge beyond procedures.
• Must have essential physical and mental capabilities: interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing, and innovation.
• Must have a valid, unencumbered Arkansas driver’s license, proof of liability insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
• Must participate in annual training on OSHA blood-borne pathogen compliance standards and any other relative OSHA standards.
• Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to travel to all locations and to meetings outside of the service area.
• Ability to understand verbal communication and instruction, exchange verbal information and to present information verbally.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective, courteous working relationships with patients, staff team members, business entities and others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and problem-solve independently.

Aufgaben

• Clean and sanitize restrooms daily.
• Clean, dust and wipe furniture and mirrors.
• Sweep, mop or vacuum floors daily.
• Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Washes and sanitizes bathroom fixtures daily with germicidal solution.
• Refill restroom dispensers.
• Strip, clean, buff, apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets as directed.
• Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.
• Clean entrance and exit including glass, doors and hardware.
• Clean, wash and disinfect drinking fountains.
• Secure building when facilities are not in use, checking for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants and turn off lights.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis.
• Wash accessible interior and exterior windows, bathroom, kitchen, clean blinds, and launder cleaning rags and dust mops.
• Attend to emergencies when necessary.
• Handle recycling materials.
• All lawn care maintenance as assigned. Must be skilled with lawn care equipment, and follow all OSHA required safety rules for using lawn care equipment.
• This includes mowing, weed eating, blowing, sweeping as needed.
• Perform general building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Conduct routine inspections of clinic systems (lighting, fire alarms, air conditioning, etc.).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruption to clinic operations.
• Maintain and repair medical equipment support systems (e.g., sinks, sterilizers, air compressors), coordinating with specialists as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and local health & safety regulations.
• Monitor and maintain clinic cleanliness and organization of mechanical and utility spaces.
• Work with outside vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs.
• Keep detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance logs.
• Support the setup and maintenance of clinic equipment and furniture as needed.
• Assesses needs of the building and grounds and performs routine maintenance as needed.
• Regularly assesses building and grounds and communicates issues/needs that may require help from the Maintenance team.
