Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an entry-level cleaner to support daily patient and staff areas. You will work under supervision, following a 7-step cleaning process to ensure a clean hospital environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling completion by shift end, proper chemical handling, and readiness to respond to urgent cleaning tasks within five minutes. Flu vaccination is required for staff in this health care system.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas using the 7-step cleaning procedure: high dusting, dry mop floor, damp wipe surfaces, clean bathrooms, empty trash and replace liners, wet mop floors, self-inspect work.
• Work schedules are completed thoroughly by the end of each shift.
• Uses proper cleaning chemicals and keeps labeled bottles correctly.
• Responds to emergency cleaning requests within five minutes of instruction.
• Moves furniture, relocates beds, and stocks supplies as requested by supervisor.
• Is aware of Right to Know information and proper fire safety response.
• Completes all tasks from supervisor in a timely manner with a positive attitude.
