Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II to maintain a safe, clean, healing environment. The role ensures daily room cleaning and timely turnarounds to support patient throughput and infection prevention.

You will contribute to disinfection, customer experience, and adherence to safety standards across the healthcare environment. The role requires healthcare support experience and a focus on hygiene, safety, and collaboration with EVS leadership to improve cleanliness

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in healthcare support services, EVS, hospitality, or a related field.
• None.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiries or complaints using designated engagement techniques.
• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms and areas, using required procedures and chemicals.
• Uses Bed Management systems and other department tech.
• Replenishes supplies and handles waste and soiled linen.
• Performs daily patient room cleaning for discharges/admissions and cleanliness standards.
• Follows health care cleaning and disinfection principles and PPE protocols.
• Operates UV disinfection machine as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and customer experience metrics.
• Safely uses tools/equipment and adheres to safety, infection prevention guidelines.
• Reports unsafe situations and requests repairs.
• Maintains attendance and compliance with policies.
