The Environmental Service Technician will provide essential cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping services within designated non-patient areas of the Portland VA Medical Center, including offices, restrooms, hallways, corridors, common spaces, and vacant examination rooms.

The technician will follow established VA environmental services procedures, infection prevention protocols, and safety standards to help maintain a clean and welcoming healthcare environment, with no direct patient care or

Formación

• Experience in commercial cleaning, institutional housekeeping, or environmental services preferred.
• Able to pass VA background check.
• REAL ID-compliant identification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Responsabilidades

• Clean and disinfect restrooms and surfaces in designated areas.
• Restock supplies and manage waste per schedules.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Follow VA infection prevention procedures and safety standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and report malfunctions.
• Maintain and log cleaning activities as required.
