Job summary

The Northwestern Medicine EVS Tech II role is a full-time position in Palos Park, IL. It supports patient care by cleaning patient rooms, offices, public areas and treatment spaces to exacting sanitation standards. The 7:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m. day shift includes alternating weekends and holidays and totals 80 hours per pay period. You will follow safety policies, manage supplies, report equipment issues, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Effective communication with patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to use department tracking and communication tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• One to three years of environmental services experience in healthcare or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms, and other assigned areas daily.
• Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation and contact precautions.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area.
• Promotes safety in the workplace with wet floor signs and PPE.
