Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required in Environmental Services or similar.
• Ability to motivate staff and hold team accountable.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Experience with infection prevention practices or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Environmental Services staff on evening and overnight shifts.
• Participate in cleaning, sanitation, and departmental duties.
• Assign daily tasks, set priorities, monitor productivity, ensure standards.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to team members.
• Hold employees accountable for attendance and quality.
• Address performance concerns and escalate as needed.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe resident rooms and spaces.
• Ensure proper use and storage of chemicals and supplies.
• Monitor staffing levels and coordinate shift coverage.
• Conduct routine inspections and correct deficiencies.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention and safety standards.
• Complete required documentation and shift reports.
• Communicate with other departments and leadership.
• Handoff between shifts and communicate outstanding tasks.
• Manage unexpected situations with sound judgment.
