Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I for River's Edge. The role cleans and disinfects across patient care areas, operates UV disinfection equipment, and handles waste and linens to maintain a safe environment.

The technician will input time and attendance data, document tasks, and report issues daily. Strong English communication, basic computer skills, and prior cleaning experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Healthcare and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English (read, write, speak).
• Familiar with time and attendance, bed tracking and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Remove nonhazardous waste and recyclables daily from point of generation.
• Damp wipe, dust, mop, and vacuum surfaces daily.
• Operate ultraviolet light equipment to disinfect surfaces daily.
• Make beds, cribs, and stretchers.
• Move linens from generation points to designated locations daily.
• Operate computer to enter time/attendance and other records daily.
• Document cleaning in department forms daily.
• Report damaged areas or unsafe conditions.
