Job summary

Non-Clinical Linden, TN facility seeks a dependable environmental services aide. Responsibilities include dusting, floor care, waste disposal, and disinfecting rooms in a hospital setting.

Role requires basic education and familiarity with industrial cleaners. You will follow safety rules, assist with evacuations if needed, and maintain a clean, orderly environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaners and chemicals; must use them safely.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions; work with diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Dust furniture, woodwork and equipment; dust-mop floors and polish fixtures.
• Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums and related equipment.
• Wet-mop rooms, halls and other areas; shampoo rugs and furniture.
• Clean vents, high areas, and fixtures using a ladder when needed.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials per guidelines.
• Buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors; moves heavy items as required.
• Performs terminal cleaning in patient rooms; follows isolation procedures.
• Disinfects bathrooms; keeps areas neat and orderly; supports with other duties.
• Shovels snow from exits; assists with evacuations when needed.
• Adheres to facility and OSHA safety rules; respects patient diversity.
• Identifies patients with at least two identifiers and follows hospital policies.
