Job summary

AllianceHealth Durant • Madill is seeking an Environmental Service Worker I to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment. You will perform cleaning, floor care, and waste management in patient areas, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in support of infection control standards.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift or move supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas following infection control standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture and equipment.
• Maintain hard and carpeted surfaces; strip, refinish, and treat floors as needed.
• Wash walls, ceilings, windows, and woodwork to maintain hygiene.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory; report shortages.
• Handle trash and biohazardous materials safely per HIPAA guidelines.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; report malfunctions promptly.
• Assist with minor repairs and report larger facility issues.
