Northwell Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to perform cleaning tasks across hospital areas, following established procedures and safety rules. You will use properly labeled supplies, maintain equipment, and help ensure a clean, patient-friendly environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of hospital or industrial cleaning experience, with ability to lift 15 pounds and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in an industrial or hospital setting preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the use of buffing/scrubbing machines, vacuums and extractor machines.
• Must be able to lift/carry 15 pounds and ascend/descend stairs during shift.
• Communicate effectively in English (speaking and reading).

Aufgaben

• Performs all cleaning functions following established procedures in a timely fashion.
• Uses properly labeled cleaning supplies for each job as instructed.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good condition, uses supplies economically.
• Cleans beds, blinds, ceilings, light fixtures, sinks, toilets, etc following procedures.
• Washes and hangs draperies and cubicle curtains.
• Washes and polishes furniture and metal.
• Sweeps walkways and outside perimeter of facility where applicable.
• Sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, vacuums, and buffs floors.
• Replenishes liquid soap, paper towels and toilet tissue.
• Moves furniture as needed for work and relocations; may move to outside storage.
• Collects garbage, cleans and lines trash receptacles.
• Transports garbage to designated area and disposes non-infectious waste.
• Deposits Red Bags–Infectious Waste in holding cart carefully.
• Transports Red-Bag garbage to Sani-Pak area and operates receptacle.
• Moves furniture and replaces after carpet installations or wax prep.
• Sets up and breaks down tables, chairs, podiums per specifications.
• Removes trash before setting up next function/meeting.
• Performs related duties as required.
