Job summary

Signature Health is seeking an Environmental Service Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across assigned areas. Reporting to the Director, Facilities, you will perform cleaning duties with attention to detail and safety, delivering quality service for patients, visitors, and staff.

You will follow the 7 Step Cleaning Process, use appropriate cleaning chemicals, move and set up furniture, report maintenance needs, and participate in safety trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in janitorial cleaning in a commercial environment required.
• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs Environmental Services duties in an effective, efficient manner following the 7 Step Cleaning Process.
• Performs duties according to quality standards to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Keeps cleaning cart, equipment and storage rooms clean and organized; labels all cleaning materials.
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly and safely per manufacturer standards.
• Cleans offices, patient/resident rooms, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, halls, food service areas and related spaces.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums hallways, stairs and office areas.
• Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, furniture, windows and coverings.
• Empties trash and recyclables; transports waste as needed.
• Replenishes supplies; moves furniture and sets up tables and chairs.
• Notifies leaders about maintenance or repair needs.
• Participates in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.
• Applies OSHA and local safety requirements to all tasks.
