Job summary

Signature Health is hiring an Environmental Service Technician to maintain a clean and safe environment in patient areas, offices, and common spaces.

You will follow the 7 Step Cleaning Process, use cleaning chemicals safely, and report maintenance needs to leadership. Candidate should have healthcare cleaning experience or demonstrate strong interpersonal and independent-work skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in janitorial cleaning in a commercial environment required.
• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs Environmental Services duties in an effective, efficient manner following the 7 Step Cleaning Process.
• Maintains a clean and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Keeps cleaning cart, equipment and storage rooms clean and organized; labeling maintained.
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely per manufacturer standards.
• Cleans offices, patient/resident rooms, classrooms, common areas and restrooms.
• Moves furniture and sets up tables and chairs as needed.
• Notifies leaders concerning any maintenance repairs.
• Participates in safety meetings and hazard assessments.
