Job summary

AdventHealth in Tavares, Florida is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to clean patient and public areas daily, stock supplies, and follow infection control procedures using handheld technology for bed management.

You will operate cleaning equipment, dispose of waste, and document work to maintain safe, sanitary facilities. Basic English communication and general computer skills are required; healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.
• Able to communicate in English.
• Healthcare environmental services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned patient and public areas daily, including collecting and removing trash and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stock paper items, cleaning solutions and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Utilize Bed Management system to maintain productive flow of bed throughput, using handheld technology for tracking.
• Dispose of normal and biohazardous waste and clean/disinfect areas containing bodily fluids per facility standards.
• Document all work performed and access ancillary units, restrooms, offices as needed.
