Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus is seeking an Environmental Service Associate to maintain clean patient rooms, public areas and service spaces, delivering courteous customer service to patients and staff.

You will follow assigned tasks, operate cleaning equipment safely, stock carts, assist with storeroom duties, and support hospital safety and quality goals as part of a High Reliability Organization.

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18.
• Must be able to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance request from automated system, daily sheet, or verbal direction.
• Follows proper usage of cleaning equipment and reports issues through work orders.
• Keeps assigned carts and areas stocked at appropriate levels; includes linen distribution.
• Willing to perform additional duties including storeroom maintenance to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Provides a high level of customer service to patients and all other customers within the OhioHealth network.
