Job summary

Mercy Environmental Services Technician performs cleaning and sanitation throughout the healthcare facility, supporting infection control and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe, healing environment for patients and staff.

This role emphasizes following written and verbal instructions, attention to safety, and teamwork; prior hospital EVS experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Education: None. Experience: None.
• Preferred Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working with the public; customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks across the healthcare facility.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements.
