Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a Lead Environmental Services Worker to oversee cleaning of patient care areas, work areas, and public spaces. The role includes supervising one shift in the absence of a supervisor and coordinating routine Environmental Services tasks.

Responsibilities include maintaining staffing schedules, training requirements, and daily quality monitoring, with strong communication to department customers to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Health Care Environmental Services knowledge required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train staff and present classroom materials.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Navigate basic web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee cleaning duties of patient care areas, work areas and general public areas; supervise staff for one shift in the absence of a Supervisor.
• Coordinate and assist with routine assignments and activities of Environmental Services.
• Maintain and update staffing schedules, training requirements and PM project list.
• Establish and maintain good communication with department customers and monitor quality daily.
