Job summary

AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL, is seeking a part-time Environmental Services worker for night shifts. You will clean patient and public areas, stock supplies, and maintain strict infection control standards.

Responsibilities include documenting work, using the Bed Management system, and handling waste. Prior housekeeping in healthcare is preferred; English fluency and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Infection control knowledge and safe cleaning practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to read and understand safety data sheets and reports.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned patient and public areas daily.
• Stock supplies in assigned areas as needed.
• Maintain infection control and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Use Bed Management system to track bed flow with hand-held devices.
• Operate cleaning carts and janitorial supplies.
• Collect and stage soiled linen for pickup.
• Dispose of normal and biohazardous waste.
• Disinfect areas with bodily fluids per standards.
• Document all work performed.
• Access ancillary units, restrooms, and offices.
• Other duties as assigned.
