Job summary

West Virginia University Health System is seeking an Environmental Services worker for Weirton Medical Center to maintain a safe and clean hospital environment. The role includes cleaning floors, sanitizing patient and staff areas, stocking supplies, and assisting with orderly facility operations.

You will follow established procedures, work with housekeeping staff, and participate in safety and disaster preparedness training to ensure a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong ability to read and follow written work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all hard surface floors via mopping as required.
• Maintains all carpeted surfaces using assigned equipment.
• Move furniture with proper equipment and help as assigned.
• Replenishes supplies and keeps restrooms stocked with paper supplies.
• Gathers and disposes of trash, infectious waste and recycling items properly.
• Cleans and disinfects according to specified procedures in patient and non-patient areas.
